Fruit Smoothie Recipes

​​Do you like fruit? Smoothies? Well obviously then you must love fruit smoothies like me! So what is so awesome about these delicious drinks? Well not only are they very tasty, but they can be very healthy for you too! That's because you can use high quality fresh and frozen produce to make these extra healthy while also providing plenty of fresh flavor. Now I tend to like to use organic produce mostly myself, that is because when you choose to you all organic, you are choosing not to put nasty toxins and pesticides that can be harmful to your health into your smoothies.


Now there are other ingredients that you can add too, like yogurt, greens and veggies, supplements, different types of liquids like juice, milk, and coconut water just to name a few.​​ Some of the supplements that I like to use are veggie based protein powders like rice protein or other forms of vegan protein made from sprouts and grains. I also like add healthy omega 3 fats to improve absorption of fat soluble vitamins and also get more healthy fats into my diet in general.

A great way of doing this is to either use ground flax seed powder or flax seed oil if you are averse to using a fish based form of omega 3's. Also keep in mind to use properly filtered water so you are not adding anything gross to your smoothies and adversely affecting the taste.​​ Here is a simple but really tasty smoothie recipe to get you started!

​​Strawberry Banana Smoothie Recipe

2 cups filtered water
6 fresh strawberries
1 whole banana in frozen chunks
1 cup strawberry or banana flavored Greek yogurt (pick your favorite!)​​​
1 tsp of organic ground Stevia for a safe and natural 0 calorie sweetener

  1. ​first put your filtered water into your blender
  2. then add your Greek yogurt next
  3. pour in your fresh strawberries
  4. add you frozen banana chunks
  5. blend until desire consistency
  6. Drink Up!
